Article about: Hi everyone, I finally decided to get another EK1, and I think I've had better luck this time (hopefully!). Everything seems alright to me, though I'm not sure about the makers mark. It is a

    A small supplement: the 1914 period cross is marked WS (Wagner & Sohn), the WW2 replacement is marked L/54 (Schauerte & Höhfeld). But crosses of other makers have the same characteristics

    Very helpful. I need to get one, maybe two representative EK 1k. for my own collection of primarily Bavarian 1914-1918 soldier level awards. This will help me keep it within the proper timeframe.
