I have this Imperial Eisernes Kreuz 2. Klasse
There is a maker mark on the ring which I cannot decipher. It kind of looks like an L and something else. Any help appreciated.

Roger...It will be "L W" a known mark, unknown maker......just a mis-strike by the maker, a Friday afternoon cross !
Prost ! Steve.
That was my first though too Steve so I compared it to my 'L W' and Roger's cross has a different frame and core.......
Looking for LDO marked EK2s and items relating to U-406.....
Adrian, agreed ! it was ten past a ridiculous hour (7.10 am) when I posted, still asleep !
Prost ! Steve.

Here is an L W marked cross that looks to me like a match to the one posted.
I lifted these images off another forum, hopefully everyone is cool with this.

I was addicted to the "Hokey-Pokey" but I've turned
myself around.
I received another EK2, marked 'K', today. It looks very close to the one I have started this thread with, with the odd mark. I post them here for comparison.
'K' on the left, unknown on the right
And now that I blow it up, I can see a big difference in the '3' in 1813. Back to the drawing board.
