I think its a good cross but I would like to see a shot of the front.
Straight on and flat -- no angles. Period made 1870s were notorious
for the small rings breaking for the cross. More crosses than not
show evidence of the ring being repaired. Usually in a much cleaner
style than the one posted.
Here are two of mine that have been repaied. The cross on the left
has the same style core as the one in question.

Thanks chopperman. I have IK from wwii and wwi first and second, pins and miniatures etc, knows value of theese, but has absolutely no idea of value for theese 1870 crosses ? Are they as collectable ?

I would think anyone who has an EK collection would love to have an 1870, I know I would.
