BTW-- I know where there is an original case for this style cross
but have yet to convince the owner to part with it.

Wow, that's amazing Greg! I'll keep my fingers crossed for you that you can acquire it!
The case has to be incredibly rare (rarer than the cross itself), and specially fitted to accommodate the hardware on the back of this cross.
Do you have a picture of what the inside of the case looks like?
Best Regards,
Alan
No,
I offered to take good close up shots for the guy and he didn't seem
to interested. He is a WAF member who only lives just down the road from
me but has very little interest in any kind of communication between us.
It must be because of my winning personality

Congrats to a nice cross. Always happy to see that miracles in this hobby still happen.

Very nice pickup , thanks for posting , were these also called the "mousetrap" variation ?
I think this one is called "Ladder" variant.
I think there is a mousetrap on eBay at the moment, BUT missing "the trap" !! Just the cross with the 2 studs, but still at a very high price !

The "mouse trap" KMST is one of the hardest crosses to find.
I am always on the hunt for odd variations and I have as yet
been unable to even see one in person yet alone have a chance at
buying one.
