These are a nightmare as they were produced well into the 3rd Reich period and have been copied ever since. Looking at post #29 here it seems likely it's a pup, but I haven't really looked elsewhere for comparisons of the obverse, although saying that, i'm not confident. Sorry to be so vague but at least it's a start to your own investigations....

I was told that Juncker never marked theire pilots
badges with the Crown, moon and 800.

Only with the moon and 800---No crown.

    Thumbs down Pilots Badge

    Hi Marc,
It is a bad one-sorry, here is a good one for comparison. For one thing (among others already listed), compare the deepness of the well on my badge that holds my hinge and compare it to your shallow hinge well. Here is a link to my Juncker Observers badge:https://www.warrelics.eu/forum/imper...badges-439162/

Looking at unimarc's avatar photo and this badge...makes me wonder where is Von Richtofen's badge today? Anyone know?

I think the best guess is that they are in Moscow.

MvR's mother had his medals and other awards.
I believe everything went missing as ww2 came to an end.

It was stories of the Red Baron and of coarse being a kid
when the song came out and movies like "The Blue Max"
that really started my interest in ww1.

I would love to someday have an original silver pilot's badge but
with price hovering around $1000. the best I could do was this
    stick pin.
