For sure that it is handmade, but I don't think it as any to do with German militaria.

I saw it and was not really sure about just did not want to pass on something that could be good so better ask before I said no good.

That is what I was thinking but not for sure.I also was thinking repo medival but no way.Really do not know.

I'd like to third the Weimar Eagle opinion. It's very cool, and has great detail, nice find!

Chris, sorry for late reply...I concur that this could be more "Weimar" than Imperial, or even modern, as the Germans still love their regalia, and I have seen plenty of marching bands in Germany in the last 30 odd years with modern made "Imperial" inspired banners/flags and uniforms....the Eagle not only has a look of the "Weimar" but also of the modern "Bundes Republic of Germany" adler, it is still a nice piece, and if reasonable would make a fine backdrop to a collection.

I havent got a clue what period it is or what it is meant to represent, but I would be more than happy to see it in a frame and hanging on my study wall.
