Which German state's General?

Article about: General officers of which German state had such blue-red chevrons on their shoulderboards? At first I thought it might be Oldenburg, but as far as I know that state's Army was a part of the

    Yeah, right. There really is a "c" before "k"in that word. And it is namely "-bUrg" at the end. Lieb' Vaterland mag ruhig sein! German language is in reliable hands! Here is the Mecklenburg braid, and the unknown one on three different underlays of red, dark blue, and green. Even if we presume the yellow thread is simply missing, the colour sequence is different anyway: red-blue-yellow and blue-red. So this can hardly be Mecklenburg-Schwerin. What is it then? Some kind of fake? Compare the braids - the unknown one looks too fresh and new.

    So after all the trouble this strap has caused, we still can not I.D. it ! back to my Collins "English/German " pocket dictionary then.....and some more ! as I said in my first post in this thread..."advanced collectors/experts show up as they usually do.....eventually, to enlighten us !"
