German ww1 pickelhaube spike helmet

Article about: Here is my latest piece I had gotten. Can anyone tell me what it may be worth? I know it is almost 100 years old. I have been looking for some WWI items for my WWI german area of my war room

    Yes , the liner did suffer!
    And I don't think much there will be found that can be read!
    But never the less a good buy!
    When you look from the inside, are there only two holes retaining the helmet front plate?

    350 is a very good price, give it a few years and it will be worth double! less can be said for the stock market!

    Auctions are fun unless you sit there for six hours and still get outbid on the only item you went for, lol. It's happened to me a few times. This looks like a good buy for 350.

    Thanks for all your good comments. I was on Proxibid today and missed by $10.00 a German WWI army officers hat. I hope one of my forum friends ended up with it. Would like to see it again. I did end up with a WWII Japanese Army Officers hat. As soon as it comes in I will post it.

    Yes, Their are only 2 holes retaining the front plate.

    Are both retaining pegs in place also through the plates loops?

    Anyway, its a great example. I love the condition that its in and the patina is just amazing
