Good M16 helmet shell

Hi all,

You may know me as a second war German helmet, equipment and relic collector but I DO have a token lid from WW1 - this M16 shell
I say M16 but I know without the liner it could be M17. I can't read a maker or size but with its original paint it has the patina and character from the years it sat in an Adelaide ( South Australia ) shed .... paint drips and all.

Nice 'token' helmet. I believe it is a size 62 or 64, by the look of the vents.........

Nice lid Dan, good WW1 representative. Steve is right, 62 or 64 because of the vents, should have a letter and series of numbers in the inside top crown, that's the steel batch number. Good amount of paint left to
