Hard to find Ww1 German flight helmet

looking for a long time to locate this model and it arrived today from Europe...book photo from Mick Prodgers book... Vintage Flying Helmets (must have book for the head gear collector.......

I think that so few of us have any real experience with these so we
are not comfortable giving opinions on it. If it's the real deal, then I
think it is a great piece and would display very well with a pilots badge
and a iron cross.

Greg, " I rely" on the expertise and photo's of many collectors research in Mick Prodger's book.... Vintage Flying Helmets Aviation Before the Jet Age..

MAP...I believe the cloth on top of the cap was used to clean their goggles from the grime and oil sputtering from the engine.

G'day Dave I have also a pair very similar to the top pair there, I'll drag it out if you want to see it? haven't taken photos of it before! I obtained mine from Gallipoli veteran's family as a FYI...
