Here is what a correct, and original Prussian Grenadier's eagle front plate looks like. I hope that this helps a little.

paul a.....it would appear that you have listed this helmet on E-Bay, german pickelhaube helmet | eBay where you state "I bought this german pickelhaube has a original a while back but have recently been told it is an aged reproducion ,i am none the wiser to authenticity of the piece so im listing it as a good reproduction .Please see pics ". IMO you are very wise as to its authenticity, you know without a shadow of doubt that it is fake ! why introduce ambiguity, so as to infer that it might be real ? that IMO is a tad naughty !.......your wording might just make somebody who knows no better waste money on a gamble that it may be original. Just to make sure that you know, this Pickelhaube is 100% FAKE ! and IMO that should be the only description given when you sell this helmet.
