Imperial EK, Repro???

Hello Gents

Could I have any opinions on this please, I purchased it several years ago, I seem to be discovering quite a few replicas and fakes in my collection...mostly thanks to the forum and its members, just wondering where this one stood as Im not too "genned up" on EKs.

in first opinion i would pass this one

as it has a verry lack of detail in the rim i dont know if it is periode done or later by hand

Here is the reverse, a friend of mine who knows a little more about gt war medals told me that if it rattled it was probably genuine, there is about 0.5 to 1mm of play between the rim and the centre.

if it rattled doesnt mean it is oke
see the third reich insignas the ek2 and ek1 and even the knightscross are reproduced whit 3 pieces so that doenst mean mutch now

but its a shame that the ring and ribbon are missing

i`ll keep it on a nice oke piece
as the detail in the rim should be clearly visible but it has quite some damadge

non the less a nice piece of history

Ade is spot on.
A good cross. I believe this style was made by "MFH" but I am not
100 %.
