That is one scary looking cross. It is trying real
hard to be one of these, but it just doesn't quite
    do it.

    Exactly my concern !

Thanks a lot for the input. The same guy has a 1870 ek1 for sale, which doesn't seem quite right either, but also trying hard ;-)

    Hi guys,

It was sold for 152 euros ! Pretty expensive for a fake :-/
There are so many variants, it really takes a lot of knowledge and experience to tell the good from the bad !
I really appreciate this forum and especially Greg's verdicts :-) saves a lot of money and disappointment, and most of all, it gives experience ;-)

Ps I have another Ek1 here, but I don't know if I dare showing it ;-)

152 Euros is a lot but an original would sale for
    600 Euros.

Wouw, the price alone, should have told the story !
I knew it would be a lot more expensive than the average EK1, but I did not know it was that much .
The example you have shown, is that the only maker/ variant with that system ?

    Hi guys,
I decided to take my chances, and show this EK1 :-)
It is 3 piece construction, non magnetic, all 800 silver.
There is no mm, only the 800.
Any ideas of maker or year of manufacture ?
A die fault (crack in stamp) is visible at the bottom of the frame, as a horizontal line !

What do you think about it, I feel that the frames are kind of strange. Maybe the cross ....? -the core of the First World War and Second World War frame?
