Article about: Excellent EKs you have there Chopperman. Can you tell me more info about this one?

At first glance, i don't see any issues with it.
It looks like a common 1914 to me.

There are examples of ww1 cores in ww2 sized frames.
Easiest way to check is to simply hold it next to one
    of your 1939 crosses.

The core design is the "slant W core" used by several different
    makers.

The mark looks to be a "R". Possibly Alfred Rosner
    of Dresden.

Good cross, I would say imperial all the way. Agree the mark is R, but this is not slant W core. It is Godet core, used by Godet, Meybauer, Rosner and also by Friedländer, if I remember correctly.

    Hi guys,

    Arrival of the day ;-)
A EK1 mm K.A.G in overall good condition.
It has a different core than the other I already have ! The stamp and setup is also a little different .
I have taken pictures of both to compare :-)
Nothing special, maybe I dare next time !?;-)

    Nice one Marc,
This last one is the most common KAG core.
I have always liked KAG crosses, especially the design of
    the pin on the back.

    Thanks Greg,
That's what I thought, it's the same core on my EK2 KAG :-)

    Hi Guys ,

I got the EK's below from a friend of mine :-)
The EK2's is alright I think, one is mm marked Z or N, the 2 others unmarked.
My worry is more about the screw back .
It has no mm, it seems worn, but kind of poor quality ! Backside is frosted and there is no pin.
There was an example on page 6 on this tread, that looks like it, but !!??
Could this one maybe be a poor quality TR made one ??
By the way, there is a 57'er as well and a very bad 1939 EK2 fake :-(

Looking forward to here your opinion ;-)

Everything OK with these, Marc. "Poor quality" EK1 is postwar, mostly TR era made Deumer, so called clamshell. Deumer EKs from this era are almost always unmarked, and if marked, then only for silver content (if there is some). This frame and screwback style is known also from Deumer 1939 schinkels, which are highly desirable pieces.

Non com EK2 with correct ribbon looped on both sides, is quite desirable piece - second core SW, so called B type 1914, because the crown and W resemble the core of B type EK2´s from 1870 era.
