    Gentlemen/Ladies

Here's my tiny contribution to this awesome thread.

I have to admit to no interest in adding Imperial "anything" to my collection until I saw this gorgeous cross. The look of Imperial crosses, on computer screens, doesn't do them justice! This was the first WWI Imperial EK I've seen, in hand, with some knowledge under my belt, and I was immediately taken by it. That dagger of an attachment pin and the vaulting had me sold immediately. The patina made it final.

The EK looked great but I wasn't 100% positive of its authenticity. After taking several poor cell phone pics, I contacted Gregm (Chopperman) and he agreed to look at the pics. I did not provide him with good pics (sorry again Greg) and he still managed to help me out. With the poor pics, I wouldn't expect anyone to give an educated analysis. Greg knows his stuff and I'm glad I contacted him. Thank you Greg, I owe ya one!
