Yes, it most definitely is a worn piece. The original ribbon is what drew
me to it. Finding out that the cross was silver is just an added bonus.

Hi Greg, to be honest I'm not so fond of miniatures, BUT this little fella really is a nice piece . And that worn look is just great ;-D

Hi Marc,
Minis are not for everyone. Which is fine (less competition for me).
I got into them because at the time, they were fairly common and cheap.
Also the fact that they are small. I live in a very tiny crap hole of a house
and a collection that does not take up space just made sense.

I recently added these two to my collection. The first one is not really anything special, I assume part of a watch fob. The second one is quite detailed. The oak leaves and the crowns are clear and the beading actually appears to be mitered at the inner joints even though it is a one piece cross. The jump ring is soldered and even though the patina seems light in the bright photos, it has a dark patina such as what you would see on silver.
