Congrats on your first Imperial Ek1.
The 800 marks is indeed the silver content. My best guess is that
your cross is an unmarked "KO" made cross. The core details are
consistent with one of KOs known core styles and the rear hinge, pin
and catch look very much like those used by that maker.

The Post has recently graced me with three new arrivals! These cased examples of the Iron Cross in 2nd class are a welcome and very appreciated addition to my collection. These are absolutely lovely and they will display quite nicely. (still a work in progress in getting the proper case for my collection.) As time permits I'll post each individually.

That's a really nice mini. It has very strong core details.
I really like Ek minis and I used to pick them up when I could but lately
it seems that prices on miniatures have gotten a little crazy.
I have one very similar to yours, mine however is not quite as nice.
