A new pickup:

An EKII with non-combatant ribbon. It is marked "J.W. (and some triangle mark after the letters) ", which is believed to stand for the maker Johan Wagner & Sohn, Berlin - if I'm not mistaken.

Nice looking cross. JWS marked crosses are not all that common.

I have just now looked at the maker mark using my magnifying glass and I can't make it out to be anything else than "J.W."

The correct mark for Johan Wagner and Sohn is-----JWS.

Here is the best image of the mark that I have on file. I do not yet

Then I have no clue. The dealer made it out to be "JW", and I can only agree. It might not be Johan Wagner & Sohn, but I can't make it out to be anything else than "JW", alternatively "IW" (due to the fact that in Germany the letter "I" was often written as "J". The "J" on the ring is actually very clearly outlined.

I found a makers list showing "JW" to be J.H. Werner, Berlin. Any thoughts on that?

Then again I just found another list showing "JW" to be an alternate marking for Johann Wagner & Sohn. Seems much of it is just bad guess work to me..
