Is there a story behind that one, Ralph, explaining why it's so fresh? Buried in a vault or something?

    Thanks Nick!
No story, just well looked after I suppose.

Next a late war EK2. It's still 3 piece construction; but the frame is silver plated steel (magnetic). As you can see very little of the silver plating remains & there's rust coming through the paint. Horrible quality really

It's maker marker MEH. Anybody know who that is?

As for the MEH , we still do not know the maker.
An old couple of posts from page 2, but sure it's MEH and not MFH, which would make it M Flex & Sohn, Hamburg?
MFH mm sourced here: 1914 EK 2 - ring mark - Germany: All Eras: The Iron Cross - Gentleman's Military Interest Club

    Good catch Nick,
That cross is clearly a MFH.

Thanks Greg. I'm just sceptical that the fabled maker MEH exists, and they're MFH's.

My example of an MFH for comparison.

    A pair !

    Here is my 1 and 2 EK's marked K.A.G.
I got the 2 class for a while, but the 1class I just got the other day !
They have very different iron cores, but the company used several different, I know .
What do you guys think of these, hope you like them :-)

Nice pieces. Catch high, hinge low - typical KAG.

I agree 100%. Any MFH I have seen, I believe to be MFHs.
