    Default Imperial German Entrenching Tool?

Hi Guys, I have owned this Entrenching tool for at least 30 years now.

I have never really confirmed it's true origin. I don't think I have shown it on the forum before? I have examined it very closely and it is devoid of any markings.

    Comments please.

    Thanks!

    Cheers, Ade.

Ade, a Model 1898/1909 Imperial German Army entrenching tool, after complaints of the sharp edges snagging clothing, the model 1898 was finally modified by folding the spade tips in and riveting to stop this damage occurring............spades rarely had mm or other markings upon them in this period.
    Prost ! Steve.
