It's perfectly good. To my knowledge, this style is not being faked.

Oh, that's great news! This guy's last name is the way my family's name used to be spelled back in Germany, so I got really excited when I saw this on Ebay. I ended up figuring out that Sonneburg is where my family comes from originally due to this tag. Pretty neat huh?

It's always nice to have something that ties into your personal family history. Congratulations on the find.

Very nice- not so much of a market for the WWI discs as WWII so luckily no fakes so far as I've ever seen either; and I have no doubts about this one either- fakers mess up WWII units, which are relatively simple, and this one has more than one, written in a correct way for the time (Bataillon, Regiment, Kompanie), with details such as using the French abbreviation 'No' for number, which was sometimes the case with some units during WWI, AND the standard German 'Nr.' in his second unit. So it's a complicated disc to be sure- and just awesome about the family name and location connection; amazing that stuff like this can happen, eh? A few years ago I found not one but TWO discs from the very WWII replacement unit my Grandmother's cousin was in, and one had a serial number just a few away from his! Stuff like this certainly does make one wonder about Jungian synchronicity...
    Ohhhhh- pillage then burn...
