    Default Imperial retired pilots badge

    Hi all,

Was sent pics of this piece. Sorry but they are all I have.
Any information given will be most appreciated.
I don't think I personally would buy this as there are other sparklers out there that grab me right now. Just doing research for the future.
When and under what circumstances was it awarded? Is this a good or bad badge?
What is it worth? What would be a "normal"price for this piece? Is it scarce?

Thanks all and have a good day.

awarded when the pilot was hourably discharged eg losing legs so can't fly so can't fight
an original can go for $800 mark
can't say if it is origninal or not

This is a massive copy not an original. For a good hollow retired badge you should spend more than 1200$.

Here pictures of an original Meybauer retired badge.

    Hi jaba1914,

Thanks so much for your reply! Much appreciated!
Do you know of any good books concerning German awards of ww1.
I have recently redirected my small collection from ww2 to ww1 and am finding the field more "elusive".
I would really like to learn more.

    Have a great day!

There are a lot of books about imperial awards. What kind of awards you look for?
