KO marked EK2s are probably the most common marked crosses to find so as a result not as desireable as a less common maker.
The rarer makers are more sought after by those who collect by maker, myself included.
Looking for LDO marked EK2s and items relating to U-406.....
Thanks Adrian, I wasn't sure if a KO - being Berlin-made - was likely to be the more wanted. What worries me about the rarer marks is the likelihood of them being fakes. I think I was lucky with my MFH one, but easy to get stung, even after reading up everything going.
Nick,
I would not worry to much about fake 1914 Ek2s. Not that they don't exist
but they are not at all common and most I have seen are easy to spot as
being fake. (1870s and 1813s are a whole different story) If you are ever
uncertain about a particular cross, you can always post it here first for an opinion.
