M 1918 cut out helmet ?

Article about: I know there are lots of fakes of these and no doubt this is one but would appreciate some expert opinions . The lugs seem to be the 66 type which is a bad start !

    yes I thought as much , though I did see a mention on the net of post WW1 manufacture which were of a larger size ,see German-Helmets.com
    This states 'So popular was the M1918 Ear Cut-Out, that in the mid to late 1920’s at least one German firm was contracted to reproduce the helmet in the larger 66cm shell size. This was intended to supplement the small number of World War I era shells in service and to aid in expanding the head sizes available from a maximum of 57cm to a much larger 59cm'
    Is this a fact or just internet BS ?

    I post one of these of WAF and everyone seem to agree that all originals should be marked ET64.

    You may well be right that it is made in China but only if China has been exporting these since 1985 which I really doubt .
