Nice lid there mate, it's great when they find you too. Shame about the leather but the paint is pretty good and makes up for it. Would look good on the shelf

Thats a good example of a Model 1917, a good find...."Si 66" is the mm and size, being made by " Eisenhuette Silesia" in Paruschowitz Oberschlesien, they only made sizes 62 & 66, the lot number "B837" identifies the steel rolling mill at "Stahlwerk Becker" in Kiefeld, where the sheet of steel the helmet was stamped from originates.

I wish I had a war room. A war case will have to do for now, and I only have room for one case. It's almost filled with helmets. Not even room for this one yet.
