Article about: Can anyone give me some info on the makers ,I posted the logo that was on the top of the cans.

Chris, great items, in great condition ! always wanted one of these ! (come to think of it, always wanted an MG08!)...sorry I can not help with the makers.....somebody out there is sure to know.

I will take a MG08 also,would love to find one.My friend from Meuse Argonne found the front plaque of one last week.
The two water can were found in the woods on the top of the ground.

I have sent the images to a well known German enthusiast who should be able to identify makers. There are key differences between the WWI and WWII versions, as many 'upgrades' were applied to WWI MG to serve 'between the wars' or into WWII. This image is a great exampe of things 'added' to WWI MG eqpt.

There are key differences between the WWI and WWII versions, as many 'upgrades' were applied to WWI MG to serve 'between the wars' or into WWII. This image is a great exampe of things 'added' to WWI MG eqpt.
