I'm not a pickelhaube guy but even I can see that the chin strap
is a repo and the visors have been restitched. The extra holes for the
Wappen could be new or could be period done. That not all that unusual.

Chopperman I'm not a pickelhaube guy either I have one that was given to me years ago that is my extent of knowledge on them. I also pointed out to my friend that the front brim has been reworked. Sorry about the short answer on the chin strap my son was asking me a million questions. The chin strap looks and feels a lot older then it looks . Thank you again for your comments . Gary

    Hi Gary
Like I said, I'm not really a Pickelhaube guy.
Your best bet is to see if Adler or Stuka or ww1czechlegion will take a look
    at it.

Its not perfect but it is original aside from the repro chin strap, about 10% of haubes still have the original strap and you can clearly see that is not a 100 year old piece of leather, the visor probably lost its stitching from age and fell off, somebody along the way fixed it up to preserve it. Value is tough to say but IMO anwhere between 4-600.
