My eBay steal of the year, m16 camo helmet with civil war era binoculars

Thought I would share this, I won this helmet and binocular lot for $99 on eBay, seller listed it as old military pot helmet with binoculars and I knew it was a ww1 m16 helmet and I was the only bidder on it, as you can see in the first pic(seller pic) I was expecting just a normal green ww1 helmet but when I got it in and pulled it out the box that's when I notice it was camo to my surprise, it's a et62 and still has part of postage stamp on side from where it was mailed to the states, the binoculars are us civil war era made by rowley and sons in London from what I can read from eye piece, over all a great helmet and a great deal, on side note the helmet was laquied but along time ago

You lucky sod! There is indeed good finds to be made on eBay, and I have several that I made. Its often called for the amount of crap that is put on there, but diligent searching pays dividends.
