My first WW1 ek1 in case, opinions?

Just brought my first WW1 EK1 cased, a real gem. Seems like an early version, what do you guys think about this being a true original?

Indeed, an original Sy&Wagner with a perfect, matching case.
Very likely an earlier model, too - judging by the case.

Thanks Pavel, yeh you don't see too many gold crosses on these ww1 ek1's case's these days. And apparently silver was used on the back of the cores in the early ones?

Most Imperial 1st class crosses used all silver frames.

You've got a very nice S-W cross there. IMO the Wagner and
Godet crosses were some of the best quality 1914s made.

I like your cross a lot :-) IMO S-W crosses belong among the best quality crosses !
Like it with the case too, makes it very complete .
My very first ww1first class was a S-W too ;-)

Thanks guys, yeh when I saw this I didn't think twice about buying it. One thing I wanted to know if someone could answer it, crown locations on sy & wagner's are they always in the same location? Like I'd compare mine with other wagner's and sometimes there crown sit higher up. Is the placement always different? Just curious.
