rebemer207, welcome to the Imperial German and Austro-Hungarian sub forum ! your spade is post WW1 not a WW1 spaten. Three models were issued prior to 1918, the Model 1874, Model 1898/99 and the Model 1898/1909, all identified by their blades being "rivited" to the handle, these spades were so succesful a design, that after the war a nearly identical model was introduced in the Reichswehr easily identifiable by its replacement of "rivets" by "weld" points.
Still, your spade is a nice Reichswehr item.
Prost ! Steve.
