A very nice ring! And for most of the WWI vets Germany never lost WWI. Look at the maps of the frontline in 1917-18.

No, I made the avatar to match the ring.

The funny thing is that my ring matches almost perfectly one that maxrsx posted up in July 12, right down to the dink in the top right of the shield, although the cross is slightly different. Would be interesting to know if he's still got his, or if I bought mine from someone he sold it to. Small world, if so.
