    Hi guys, found this for a steal on Ebay but I can't make out the young man's name... what do you think?

    He was born in 98 and "fell" in 45 so he must have been 46-47 years old in the final year of the war when he was KIA.

    Thanks! I knew I could count on you to decipher it!

    I was afraid that said "bruder" ....

    Won't know who he was other than "Gustav" I guess. Oh well I like the picture!

    Maybe a volksturm? Always a shame to see deaths so close to the end. As much a shame as any other time I suppose, but more poignant.
