    Default Pickelhaube ID

This pickelhaube is going to be auctioned at an estate sale in my area and I have been unable to identify the front plate. From the issue stamp it appears to be an Armee-Korps (Coblenz) but the front plate is not familiar to me. I know the photo's suck but they came from the auctions website. I am wondering if it would be worth my time to attend this sale or is this a fantasy item. Any help would be greatly appreciated!Pickelhaube IDPickelhaube IDPickelhaube IDPickelhaube ID

Not a fantasy item and Definitely worth your while taking a chance on it. The chin scales Alone are quite valuable. I would Certainly bid-and bid Well on it.

The one you can see in my link is offered at a good price.
Sometimes these helmets can climb to 800 euro for a mint one, but I would stay around the 500 euro for thise example.
An additional probleme on thise one is that it has not got the officers liner, as it would supose to have. And that both silver trim's on the visor and neck flap, doen't seem to fit well! I think we are looking at a reconverted helmet, for so far I can see it. More pictures would be needed to state that.

Also, don't forget that the helmet you posted is Wartime and the one in the link is Post war(no crown on the eagle) and so yours would be more desirable.
