Hey guys, I'm just starting to tread into WW1 items. I'm being offered this pre 1914 Prussian buckle in a trade. It's standard brass with a Nickel silver center, but I don't like the reverse catch, all that I've seen are the typical "U" shape catch...not two pins....any help is appreciated! Sorry about the pics, all I was sent.

Here is a link to fellow collector and dealer Gara Cillo with Brandywine. He has a buckle that is WWI vintage with similar type catch mechanism. Hope this helps.

The items in the background are an ashtray, and match keep....I know the guy, he is honest, he bought all three in one lot.

    Hi Newbie,

Check this thread here of a very similar Bavarian buckle I posted earlier this year; thread includes other examples and general discussions etc.
I think the buckle is just fine, although not the best pictures
