Andreus, a superb thread on a little talked about award, this is great information, and you show some stunning examples, a must have in any Imperial medal collection...a big thank you for your reseaerch and presentation.
These medals are readily available via the net auction sites and dealers for little money.....get them bought and shown here ! here's the one I used to own, sadly recently sold to enhance other collecting interests

Here's an item I had forgotten to post the other day. Worn by a non-combatant participant in WWI, it's a miniature medal bar combining the Prussian Rote Kreuz-Medaille III. Klasse with the Prussian Kreuz für Kriegshilfsdienst and the Ehrenkreuz für Kriegsteilnehmer:

Purchased since my last post, here is another example of the III. Class medal in its original bronze version.

Showing its age with some patina and a ribbon that has faded to an orange hue, this one in unmounted condition:

Two new additions acquired since the last post.

First, another plain and simple, but neat, lapel bow:






Second, a one-place medal bar, the ribbon mounted in the typical trapezoidal Prussian style. This is actually rather uncommon, as the vast majority of single RKMIIIs are mounted as Damenschleifen [ladies' bows], like those seen in several posts above:
