intresting ....is it marked ?
I know this one. Should be onepiece brass construction. Spurious cross, probably period, but either patriotica or theatre prop.
This cross shows up from time to time and always receives more attention than it deserves. Once I spent long debate in one FB militaria group with the guy who owns such piece. At the end when I thought I won the verbal fight, guy said unbeatable argument: "nevermind, I bought this cross for 10 dollars..."
So, shortly. I don´t like this cross, because it resembles other onepiece construction brass cross, that is Prinzen and - although considered as doubtful as well - it appeared on some medal bars and/or in enamelled core version. If I compare these two pieces, there is big difference in detail quality of crown, letters, surface, beading, etc... (although the particular cross I am showing already lost all of its paint) And as we know from our hobby, if two crosses strongly resemble each other (and are not identical), only one of them can be original - and the other must be copy.
Just my two cents, nothing else.

Thanks for your advice, Miro.
I will walk the safe path, and leave it :-)
This one was not 10 $ cheap in any way !!

As a collector of all things EK related, I just had
to have one of these of my own.
Like Miro says, we don't really know what these are
all about but the patriotica/theater prop theory is the
most plausible.

I was addicted to the "Hokey-Pokey" but I've turned
myself around.
Thanks Greg,
I think I would have one too, if price was low, considering all the doubt surrounding it :-)
BUT this one was almost 200 euros !!!

200 euros is really too much for doubtful piece. Although, honestly, 10 dollars is lucky catch.
