Default Rare Ersatz Pickelhaube by Depaheg Patent with unusual feature

    Hello,

Here is a helmet that I have had for almost 4-years. I bought it from a family in Minnesota who came into a military show that I was set up at, along with 4-other helmets + a camo M17 helmet and the wartime steel bugle that I have posted previously.

This is a seldom seen ersatz version picklehaube, much rarer than the felt pickelhaubes that we see sometimes. This one has a fiber or "fiberglass" type of body as found sometimes on officer spiked helmets. It has the very unusual feature of having the visors attached to the helmet body by rivets. Visors are a thin fiber/composition material as well. The "Depaheg Patent" manufacturer's name and logo depicting the Quadriga (chariot drawn by 4-horses) on top of the Brandenburg Gate is embossed into the liner.

    Best Regards,

    Alan
