Hello, I saw this at a local thrift shop and got it because it kinda looks like a ReichsWehr crusher cap or maybe forestry or possibly even a veterans. The visor appears to have either been replaced or reattached.Any help would be appreciated.

Dean, a nice old cap...but sadly not Reichswehr or Imperial Army....but IMO from one of these eras 1920's/30's, like you say possibly forestry of shooting bund cap, it will be interesting to discover its identify.
Prost ! Steve.
Thanks for your help, Steve! I thought it would be something like that. Let's see what the others have to say.
Cheers,

I don't know a ton about these caps, but given what we know about the importance of color in German caps, I think that Steve is probably right, it does look like it could be a forestry cap, or a shooting club cap. What an awesome piece though, who knows who the original owner was? He definitely saw some great history for sure. That's an awesome find for a thrift store man!
Here's a similar one on german eBay:
Originale ältere grüne Schirmmütze, Schützenverein | eBay
I like yours better though, definitely older and cooler.
Thanks Eddie, I agree it looks like similar colour.

anyone know what the value could be for this?
