    Horst, super traditional stein...as opposed to the glass one you have already shown, when you say ''you have a reservists stein'', this is the type that immediatly springs to mind !.... it would be from the '2 Grossherzoglich-Hessisches Feld-Artillery Regt 61', from Darmstadt-Babenhausen, attached to X Armee Korps. Thanks for showing. If any other member has a stein, please show/post, as AZPhil intimated, there hasnt been many on this part of the forum, they are heavily collected, most are stunning and some are worth big money !......unfortunatly, I havent got any !

    Hi Horst, you have some beauties there. I was confused on these. Did the military present these to the soldier or was it something friends and family would buy and present?

    great steins, mine has all the names of the soldiers down the sides and his name on the front,, its the same name as my son's boss

    sitges1990, as mementos of his service, these steins were private purchase items by the soldier concerned.

    Jay - As oradour stated these were purchase by the soldier, the more money he had the more decorative the stein.

    Here is the one I have. Along the back ,on both sides of the handle it has all the names listed.
