Nice find.
Every time I mess with the woodwork all I find is dust and dead spiders.
great find, see if you can trace him.
I've been looking. This was about as close as I have come. It looks like Richter was a very commom surname. This is just the KIA list.
Verlustliste: Königlich Sächsisches 12. Infanterie-Regiment Nr. 177 (Namen R-Z)
Every woodwork purchase I make is usually done at the local DIY store. But a lovely helmet. Good luck in tracing him.
Nice M1895. I love the wappen for Saxony. It is fantastic that it has the named label on it.
WoW that is a lot of RICHTER's on that list. I wonder since they all were from Saxony if they were related or just a common sir name like mentioned

Nice M95 indeed, but did you know that this is a rare one? It's made of laquered felt and made in one piece. The stitching you see is to attach the liner...
It's a fabulous find! Congratulations!

Very nice helmet.
Great lid! Love the name tag!
Indeed, a nice original condition Sachsen Pickelhaube and a great find, you have an outstanding start to 2015 ! I particularly like how it has retained its the original Sachsen style non serrated cockades which are often missing.
Heres some information on the unit.........Kgl. Sächs. 12. Infanterie-Regt. Nr.177, garrisoned in
Dresden, part of XII Armee Korps.
Prost ! Steve.
