Yeah I recall back in the 60s they came out with all kinds of German iron crosses of all shapes and sizes and called them surfers crosses. Some even had a surfer emblazoned in the middle.

Wonder what the purpose was, I wonder if people actually collect these?

I know of an Iron cross collector who does collect some of these.

I still have the one I wore as a kid back in the 60's and I have one of
the bigger crosses as a center in my dagger display.
