three WWI IC´s 2nd Class
Today I purchased this three Iron Crosses 2nd class.
No.1 is marked with KO in the suspension ring, No. 2 with EW (?), No. 3, (with three letters), I cannot read ...
The loop of No. 1 seems to be repaired ...
I´m not collecting medals and order´s, but I bought ´em as "display item´s", to show them together with some of my German WWI trench-knive´s !
I assume, all this IC´s are originals, what do you guy´s think ?
Thx. in advance,
R.
P.S.:
I had to pay 60,-- Euro´s for all of them, (incl. shipping), and I think, it was quite OK ?

Re: three WWI IC´s 2nd Class
All nice pieces, IMO..................!
Unmarked WWI EKII's over here sell for $60, with or without ribbon.
#1 'KO' = Konigliches Orden.
#2 'EW' = an unkown maker.
#3 = 'W&S', 'HBG' or 'MEH' ?
There is a list of known WWI EK makers marks at 'kaisersbunker.com'.

Re: three WWI IC´s 2nd Class
Reibert, all three are O.K. 60 Euros !, a bargain, I have seen EK II's jump in price only in last 6 months or so, average price now around 40 Euros.....dont be tempted to clean, leave them as is. As for makers, "KO" = "Konigliches Muenzamt Orden" one of the Royal Mints in Berlin. "EW" is a known mark, but sadly it is an unknown maker. 12 known makers used a "3" letter stamp, see if you can make out at least one of the letters to aid in recognition, use a jewellers type magnifying glass.
Prost ! Steve.
