    I came across this dagger that is about to come up for sale. I think it may be pre WWI German but not 100 percent sure. If any one could help identify it and give some information I would greatly appreciate it. This is the only picture I have.

    Hi Rob .. The dagger is some clam shell type..but without enlarging the photo its difficult to see the hand work done on the clamshell and the other fittings. That might give some direction of what type of dagger it may be.

    Sadly much is lost in 1 photo without the rest of the attributes ie: Producer , blade engraving if any.. any markings beneath the guard etc.

    Here are some more pictures it appear to be some sort of firemans dagger. I have no idea of value on this one so if any seasoned collector wants to help a younger one out please send me PM about the value. I would love to learn what ever about it I can here are some more pics from the seller.

    I didn't end up with this one burt from what I've found online it looks like it might be Czech from around 1919-1938
