No, I believe Kris is spot on compared to the Belgian one I posted.

The arms of the 'Legion D'Honour, Napoleon III' that Kris shows
are plain white enamel - just like the damaged example posted.

I agree the medals are very similar, only small details reveal the difference.
The Belgian medal have the king's crown, thise one as the Imperial (Emperor's crown).

It was the little round finials on the end of each arm
which first made me think it was Belgian.........
