Numbers on scabbard seem to say:
S.D.I. 84
Numbers on cross guard seem to say:
PB Se(3?) R
Certainly police re-issue from the post WW1 era.
Scabbard
"S. D." = Schutzpolizei Dusseldorf. "I" = Administrative sub-division1 "84" = weapon number.
The deleted one also looks like a Schutzpolizei marking but I can't read the rest.
Bayonet
"P.B" is either Polizei Berlin or Polizeischule Berlin.
I can't find anything for "P.B. Se" I'm afraid.
Hope that helps a little.

Wow, great, thanks for the help Richie! So, this would have been a bayonet that was used in WW1, and then one of the few that were allowed to remain in Germany after WW1?
Got this in the mail recently, I love it, but unfortunately "Bubba" seems to have gotten a hold of it and decided that it wasn't sharp enough for his tastes. The scabbard has two sets of numbers on it, the scratched out set seems to say
"SKI 303" and the lower set says "SDI 341" The bayonet itself says PB 358.
I reckon this is the interpretation of your markings:
SK - Schutzpolizei Koslin - probably S.K.I.303
SD - Schutzpolizei Dusseldorf - probably S.D.I.341
PB - Polizei Berlin or Polizeischule Berlin or Polizeischule Bonn

Richie
I was looking at this blade the other day and wondered about the bluing, it's very thick and "gunky". I think maybe there was an attempt made to reblue this bayonet, along with the sharpening, what do you guys think?
