Cheers Steve I will have a word with him about pricing later this week...I think he wanted 50 pounds for it!! which a tenner more than what you stated.. So I will ask him??...I will ask him if he knows the Makers markings?? See what he says!!!..I will have to look to see if there is a listing of EK makers on here one day.. Thanks for the heads up.. Terry,
The maker's mark is clearly shown in your bottom photo - "KO" which is either Koenigliches Muenzamt Orden, Berlin or Königliches Münzamt Abteilung Orden, Stuttgart

It's a good original cross. Knowing that the ribbon is a
repo, I would not pay any more for that cross than I
would for one with a combat ribbon (black/white)

Are you specifically looking for a non-combatant EK2, or just any EK2?
Just asking, as I wouldn't have thought they'd be that common. You'd stand more chance of getting a combat EK2, and with a fair bit of provenance.

    Example:
    218,000 EK1 awarded in WW1
    5,196,000 EKIIs and
    13,000 non-combatant EKIIs were awarded.

As said, I too would not pay more for that one because of it's repro
ribbon. There are still plenty of maker marked crosses available
with 'standard' black ribbons at reasonable prices, although
I am drawn to KO marked types.........

    Steve.

Cheers gents I think I will carry on looking...Problem being that ribbon anybody could & can change it to a non combatant 1 no problems & we/I wouldn't be none wiser...You could have non combatant cross update the ribbon..& we are back to square 1...So I will look around & put my feelers out see how we fair!!!! Thanks again guys for all the info Terry.

The triangle ribbon is mostly associated with Austrian
medals but was also seen sometimes on Saxon medals.
