What you have is an Austrian WW1 Helmet shell with a repro liner and liner string.
The paint doesn't look period to me but the images are quite poor. Are you able to get any more hi res images with better lighting?
Andy
An original shell with post war paint and liner.
The main indication that it is Austrian and not German is the higher placement of chinstrap pins on the sides. The colour should be more brown in colour which would have darkened now with age.
Have a look at the following thread for more images and information about Austrian WW1 helmets:

Hi Andy,
Thanks for the reply.
All the best.,

I agree. Andy is spot on. cheers Tony
Note: The rivet to fix the liner band and chinstrap is higher on this model as it is the Austrian manufactured example not the German model. Used to demonstrate paint colour as the chin strap attachment system is different in these models. cheers Tony
looking at the inside pics of your helmet it looks athough they have left the original paint inside, might be a inter war repaint as they used them in the Army right up to 1938...….
