WW1 Iron Cross 2nd Class, Bavarian Military Merit Cross, Bavarian 9-year service medal, Austrian commemorative medal, and an Ehrenkreuz für Frontkämpfer.
Austrian commemorative medal: Austrian First World War Commemorative Medal | NZHistory, New Zealand history online
Was the guy who won these awards, in the thick of battle ?
I would think the EK2 would indicate an award for bravery, the Ehrenkreuz indicates he was at the front. The Military merit is without swords, so don't know for sure there, the other 2 are been-there medals.
Bar itself seems to be a good Bavarian soldiers set but not all the medals are matching the ribbons.
As already mentioned, Bavarian Military Merit Cross without swords together with EK2 is nonsenss - it would be logical only if EK would be with non-combattant white ribbon... I believe, originally there was the other Bavarian cross with swords.
Secondly, the Austrian Commemorative medal is not matching his ribbon - this ribbon with narrow green stripes is for Tirol Defence medal (also Austrian medal, quite often awarded to the bavarians).
I suggest you to buy and replace those two awards - the Bavarian KVK with swords III klasse and Tiroler medal - and Your bar will be OK (those two awards are quite common and non-expensive).
