Default WWI Eisernes Kreuz 1st Class

Here is a WWI EK that I have. Overall it appears to be in excellent shape but with some tarnish.

I do not think it is a fake but please let me know if you don't like it.

It appears to be marked CD 300. Is this Carl Dillenius of Pforzheim?

    Any help would be appreciated.

    Regards,

    Michael

    I agree with Steve.
    CD 800, Carl Dillenius.
    One of the better makers.

A very nice cross indeed. Dillenius is one of the finest makers. It looks like a not very common variant too: I haven't seen one stamped directly on the needle.

Thanks everyone for the feedback. I think by trying to fit the stamp on the pin, it was just a little too small and thus it cut out part of the "8" and make it appear as a 300.
