Can anyone tell me anything about this, I've never seen one before.
Supposedly there are no makers marks on it at all & it's just something I've never come in contact with before.
Any help is much appreciated!!
Thanks!
Luke

Interesting. I've never seen anything like it.

Live to ride -- Ride to live
I was addicted to the "Hokey-Pokey" but I've turned
myself around.
I don't think it is German issue.
I remember seeing these discussed on another forum. IIRC they were thought to be Spanish or Brazilian.
I will try to do some more research tomorrow.
There is one here
Spanish or South American Sidearm/Knife - Bayonets
The cross hatching on the grips is typical of some Spanish weapons.

Richie
EDIT ! Just remembered where I had seen this before - on a german language edged weapons forum - this is described as a Brazilian 1908 Artillery Sidearm
It is reminiscent of the German made 1909 Argentine Artillery
short sword used into the Falklands war, but I think Richie
above is correct - it's quite possibly Brazillian.
There should be a small ' F I ' marked on
the crossguard somewhere.........

Steve.
Thanks guys. I didn't think it was German issue but I wanted to be sure. It's still neat.
